DENVER — The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Boulder County will host a women’s empowerment event Tuesday at the Colorado State Capitol.
The event is scheduled to run from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The group is inviting members of the public, including local students and members of parenting groups, to the Capitol “to take action on health, economic, safety and racial justice issues that affect women and communities of color.”
Participants will be invited to breakfast with lawmakers, observe bill debate on the House and Senate floors, speak one-on-one with lawmakers about priority bills that support racial and gender equity, and tour the Capitol.
