DETROIT LAKES — Steven Lee Larson, 38, of Ponsford, was convicted in Becker County District Court of felony domestic violence (violating a restraining order two or more times within 10 years of a prior conviction).Two other domestic violence charges were dropped in a plea agreement.

On May 29, Becker County District Judge Gretchen Salmony sentenced Larson to 29 months in the St. Cloud Correctional Facility, crediting 327 days for time served. He was ordered to pay a $50 fine and $125 in court costs from his prison pay.
The suspect, Anna Marie Nahn, 40, of rural Pelican Rapids, was charged in Becker County District Court with felony counts of threatening violence and misdemeanor domestic violence.
According to court records, officers were called to a home on DeRocks Road on June 2 where Gunaan allegedly threatened to shoot the homeowner and several of his friends.
According to the homeowner, Gunaan had been staying at her house since late May when he had nowhere else to stay. On June 2, the homeowner and two friends had gone for a drive and upon returning home, they were sitting in the driveway meeting.
While they were sitting in the car, Nahn began yelling at them, ordering them to leave the premises and threatening to shoot them if they did not, and Nahn then went back inside the house.
Two other people in the car confirmed that Nahn came out of the house and yelled at them to leave, threatening to shoot them if they did not.
Officers entered the residence to speak with Gunaan and noticed a 12-gauge shotgun propped up on the counter near the dining room table. The shotgun was unloaded. Gunaan stated she was not threatening anyone. When asked who her roommate was, her responses changed multiple times.
On June 4, bail without conditions was set at $20,000 and non-cash bail with conditions was set at $5,000.
After a bail hearing on June 26, Naan was released on bail with conditions including having no contact with the victim and staying at least 500 feet away from the residence. She was allowed to be accompanied by a police escort to retrieve her belongings. She was prohibited from drinking alcohol, using non-prescription drugs, or using or possessing firearms or dangerous weapons.
