Women’s Empowerment Summit in Baton Rouge: Dates, Location, Tickets


BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Women in Baton Rouge are invited to attend the Women’s Empowerment Summit this Saturday, April 27th.

The Baton Rouge Sigma Alumna Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Life Development Foundation will host the event at the Baton Rouge Marriott (5500 Hilton Ave.) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to event organizers, the summit will feature informative breakout sessions, networking and engaging interactions to provide strategies to influence and improve health, economic strength and political advocacy.

“We will have many dynamic women sharing their stories to improve people’s lives in every way – spiritually, mentally and physically,” said BR Sigma Chair Arnice Singleton. “The aim is to empower participants to contribute to the betterment of their families and communities.”

The speakers are as follows:

Louisiana Lottery CEO Rose Hudson; ExxonMobil refinery manager Regina Davis; Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Piper Griffin; Baton Rouge Municipal Court Judge D. Yvette M. Alexander.

Costs are $100 for those ages 26-61, $50 for those ages 18-25 and $75 for those over 62. Click here to register.
